Odyssey proudly participated as a Gold Sponsor in the MENA ISC 2023 event, titled “The Evolution from Reactive to Predictive Cyber Leveraging AI & Emerging Technologies,” which was successfully held on September 12th and 13th at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The event highlighted the pivotal role of Artificial Intelligence in cybersecurity, emphasizing its dual potential for protection and threat mitigation. Attendees had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge AI tools for threat detection and system safeguarding while addressing the increasing risks posed by sophisticated cyberattacks.

A leadership speech was delivered by Irene Selia, Head of Global Development, and Alexandros Kaniklides, Manager at IthacaLabs. In Odyssey’s keynote speech, titled “Empowering CISOs in the AI Era: Tackling Cybersecurity Challenges for a Resilient Future,” they delved into the main challenges faced by Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) in Saudi Arabia and how the adoption of AI and a people-process-technology approach could empower them to effectively address these challenges and build cyber-resilient organizations.

As part of the conference, attendees had the valuable opportunity to participate in Odyssey’s workshop titled “Stepping Beyond Tradition: Using Deception Technology to Counter Destructive Threats,” presented by Alexandros Kaniklides, Manager at IthacaLabs, Odyssey. This workshop highlighted to attendees why old tactics fall short against modern threats and why using “Detection by Deception” is a game-changing approach.

At Odyssey’s booth, visitors discovered Odyssey’s progressive, adaptive, and scalable MDR (Managed Detection and Response) and Advisory services. They also had the chance to experience a live demo of the Multi-awarded ClearSkies™ Threat & Vulnerability Management Platform.

It is worth noting that Mr. Stavros Avgoustides, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Christakis Demetriou, the Head of Consular & Economic Affairs at the Cyprus Embassy in Riyadh, visited the event and reassured Odyssey of their ongoing support and unique insights offering. “Their presence is not only highly valued but also a testament to their strong support for Odyssey all these years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We commend their efforts in enhancing collaboration between the two nations and highlighting Cyprus as an #innovation leader,” said Eleftherios Antoniades, Founder & CTO, Odyssey.
